Poor Second Half Dooms Trojanns

Atlantic played the type of game they wanted to in the first half, but Harlan took control with a 19-0 run in the second half to post a 51-23 regional quarter-final win Wednesday night.  The Trojanns kept the tempo slow and both teams struggled to hit their shots in the opening half.  Atlantic went to the locker room at halftime with a 14-12 lead.  The Cyclones outscored AHS 17-2 in the third quarter to open a commanding lead.  They held Atlantic to only one field goal in he second half.  Harlan was led by Brooke Leinen with nine points.  Liz Honke was tops for Atlantic with seven points.  Harlan advances to the regional semi-finals with a mark of 20-2.  Atlantic ends their season at 5-16.
